HR & OD Strategist,
Onwards and Upwards - At Your own pace
Returning back to professional life was not a need but more of a desire for food for brain, keeping it alive and active with learning. The oxygen that built me up in my 20's was diminishing and while I felt privileged that I could step down from the pressures of a hectic corporate life and nurture the future generation, there was always a hunger to build myself personally and professionally. I continued building myself personally at a great pace and invested myself not only in understanding parenthood but also on the personal front indulging in various self-growth activities like art, sports, gardening and travel.
Project Manager - Healthcare Consulting,
Today, I am working with pharma and medical device firms on diverse and interesting projects where I get to use my research background and apply it to the real-world projects.
My journey was not easy. I had a strong academic background in healthcare from world-renowned universities, yet found it difficult to pivot to a corporate role inline with my aspirations.
I was determined to make the transition and so alongside actively looking for jobs, I made it a point to attend conferences and workshops. to expand my network and improve my soft skills. I chanced upon Career Re-start workshop hosted by Pinkstripes. I attended the conference and during the sessions I realized that most speakers and attendees gave good pointers on improving skills, branding and resume building. I networked with several people at the event-industry leaders and SME owners. Pinkstripes showed empathy in understanding my journey and helped me get an internship which provided the right mentoring for the transition in to consulting.
Through this workshop, I got connected to a consulting company which helped me pivot to corporate career. I finally got the right mentoring and opportunity. I interned with for good 6 months where I was mentored in to be successful in my role.
Thank you for your supporting in helping with women relaunch in technology, please register your interest here we will get in touch.
